Fragment of a concrete ring covered with tar in Kaluga, Russia. It is symbolic that this image was born precisely in Kaluga, which is called the "cradle of cosmonautics" due to the fact that the outstanding scientist K.E. Tsiolkovsky spent most of his life here. The author noticed the captured fragment on the embankment of the Yachensky reservoir at the time when landscaping work was carried out, timed to coincide with the 650th anniversary of the city, which falls on 2021, which also is the year of the 60th anniversary of the first manned flight into space. The shooting date is August 2020.

Artemy Lomov—art photographer, winner of portfolio review of PhotoVisa international festival, board member of Union of Photo Artists of Russia, recipient of Ministry of Culture grants.
