Alexander Maslennikov was born in 1965 in Ukhta, Komi Republic. During the course he was engaged in film photography. Digital photography was initially categorically rejected, but the unstoppable process pushed through the soap dish, then the DSLR, then the crop, and finally the smartphone, which today is the main tool for reflecting the image of the surrounding world on the retina of viewers. The initial fascination with metaphysics was transformed into metaphysical minimalism, then fashionable street, and, finally, disillusionment with the existing photographic environment led to the style of punk photography. One of my favorite episodes is RedPunk, I also love some works by YelowPunk, BlackPunk. The project #WhatYouKnowAlonehood together with the artists caused a lot of negative feedback from the author's environment, and therefore is actively continuing. Alexander, as the organizer of the creative union #PROVFOTO (provincial wrong photography), has been implementing the projects #Human of the Platonov Festival and The Voronezh since 2012.
